Obit Stephen GalofaroHudson – Stephen Peter Galofaro, 71, of Hudson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 after a long illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1944 in Dorchester, and had resided in Hudson for 43 years.

Stephen was the loving son of the late Peter A. and Doris (Paquette) Galofaro. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rosella M. (Dube) Galofaro, and his children, Lisa Galofaro of Marlborough and Jason Galofaro of Hudson, along with his grandson, Christopher Wheeler of Marlborough. He is also survived by his sister, Linda LaRusso of Florida; his two brothers-in-law, Michael Dube of Leominster and Norman Dube of Houston, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stephen was a graduate of Lincoln Sudbury High School and later received his Bachelor’s Degree from Central New England College of Technology. He worked as an engineer at Raytheon, as well as Digital and Hewlett Packard. He was a Specialist Four in the Massachusetts National Guard.

Stephen loved traveling to Aruba and always looked forward to spending time on the Cape and the many beautiful beaches he loved. He especially enjoyed gathering at all his cousin’s homes during the Christmas Holidays. His favorite hobby was attending antique car shows and his passion was spending many hours working on his home and sprucing up his yard. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will always be remembered and truly missed by all.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Monday, Nov. 9, from 5-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
