Obit Theresa RaianoMarlborough – Theresa M. (Plourde) Raiano, 90, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015. Born in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Omer J. and Mathilde (Janelle) Plourde and the wife of the late Alfred F. Raiano Sr., who died in 2001.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper for the former Concannon’s Office Supply in Marlborough until retiring in 1988.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spent many hours working at the family farm stand and nursery in Marlborough. Although she was not Italian, she cooked as if she were and happily served Sunday dinner to her family each week.

She is survived by her son, Robert Raiano and his wife Carol; her daughter, Joanne Raiano; her sister, Claire Courchaine, all of Marlborough, and her grandchildren, Kelly Maccioli, Bridget Raiano and Megan Raiano; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Alfred F. Raiano Jr. and the sister of the late J. Paul Plourde and Cecil Kemp.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.

Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.
