Shrewsbury – Although many are still shivering over memories of last season’s record snowfall, visitors to the Shrewsbury Credit Union will see a gentler side of winter with works by the Artist Guild of Shrewsbury. “Let There Be Snow” includes wooded snow scenes, people enjoying winter, animals, and even some abstracts inspired by the winter season.

You can almost feel the snow under your feet when you look at the bundled-up pedestrians in Linda Lee Johnson’s “Between Classes.” On the non-representational side, “Snow Mandela” by Eleanor Beatty is a meditation on the quietness of the season. Come enjoy these works – no shoveling involved!

The Shrewsbury Credit Union is located at 489 Boston Turnpike, on the corner of Lake Street and Route 9, Shrewsbury. The exhibit will be on display through Thursday, Jan. 7, and may be seen during regular business hours. Many of the works are available for sale, giving the public the opportunity to purchase from local artists. Works in this exhibit can also be viewed on www.artistguildshrewsbury.com.
