Region: The Sunshine Club announces new trips for 2016

Region – The Sunshine Club will be taking trips again after the “winter break.” Make some plans to join them as they travel to Providence Sunday, March 6 to see the play “To Kill a Mockingbird” at the Trinity Repertory Theatre. The cost is $85, and it includes a choice of pot roast, chicken pie, or shepherd’s pie for lunch at Davenport’s in E. Providence. The bus will leave the Westborough Senior Center at 9:45 a.m. and return around 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, March 15, it will be spring in Northampton as the club travels to see the spring bulb show at Smith College. There will be a buffet lunch at Union Station in Northampton and then a stop at Yankee Candle in Deerfield. Cost is $59. The bus will leave the Westborough Senior Center at 7:30 a.m. and return around 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, April 10, the club heads to Boston to see “The Sound of Music” at the Opera House, a Broadway in Boston production. Lunch will be at Fire and Ice, an all-you-can-eat spread. The coach will leave the senior center at 1:15 p.m. and return at 10 p.m.

And, there will be a 5-day trip to Lancaster, Pa. with day trips to Gettysburg, Philadelphia, and Hershey, featuring the new for 2016 show “Samson” at the Sight and Sound Theatre. Cost is $519, and includes 9 meals and 4 nights lodging, plus all sightseeing.
