“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” – 2 Corinthians 9:7. These words of scripture are fitting to the Christian life that Marianne lived and bestowed on all that knew and loved her. A caring, warm soul who was always finding ways to give to others is how she will be remembered.

Her roots were in Haiti, where she was born and spent the first 50 years of her life before relocating to Puerto Rico where she spent another happy 20 years running her own business as an artisan selling crafts and handmade gifts. Her recent years were spent in Shrewsbury and, more recently, Worcester with much of her immediate family close by.

All are invited to gather with Marianne’s family Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North. Grafton, followed by the celebration of her funeral Mass at 12 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Tpke., Shrewsbury. She will then be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
