Westborough – Do you wonder what kind of snakes might be living nearby? “Snakes of New England and the World” is your chance to meet some fascinating harmless snakes you may find while out walking in Westborough, as well as exotic specimens from around the world. Two shows, presented by the Westborough Community Land Trust, will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, at 9 and 11 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 17 Willow St. Rick Roth, director of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team, will present some of his favorite snakes and talk about their habits and habitats. You will learn to identify, respect, and protect these elusive reptiles. The event is co-sponsored by the Westborough Newcomers Club and supported in part by a grant from the Westborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Donations will be accepted. For more information, visit westboroughlandtrust.org or email [email protected].
