Hudson – Francis J. Chiaravalloti, 69, died Feb 10, 2016 of natural causes at Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. Francis was the son of the late Francis and Marie Chiaravalloti of Hudson.

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Kathleen (Hunter) Chiaravalloti, and his daughters, Marie Fisher and her fiancé Davis Maattala and Michelle Chaves and her husband Michael Chaves Sr. He leaves his siblings, Carlene Cardin of Hudson, Richard Chiaravalloti of Lakeland, Wa., and Julie Lurz, Barbara Butcher, Brenda and John McClellan, all of Hudson. He was the brother of the late James Chiaravalloti of Clinton. He leaves his beloved grandchildren, Casandra D’Angelo, Alexis Maattala, Michael Jr., and Emma and Lila Chaves. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Francis graduated from Hudson High School in 1965. He was a machinist by trade working in multiple companies until he started working at Entwistle in 1969. He worked there for 32 years until he was forced to retire due to his health issues.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed camping at Shawtown campground in Ossipee, N.H., where he loved to go fishing, play tennis and sit by the camp fire and sing country songs while playing the guitar. He loved gardening and was an amazing carpenter, from building decks to creating carnival games for the kids in our community. His greatest love of all was becoming a grandfather. He enjoyed attending all their school activities and watching them play sports. His greatest love was watching his grandson play baseball at Boutwell fields and now at Riverside Park. He was truly loved by so many!

Family and friends may attend calling hours Saturday, Feb. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, (www.tighehamilton.com), followed by a service and celebration of Francis’ life at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial services will be held at a later date in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson.
