Shrewsbury – By unanimous vote, the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen made the following appointments at its March 22 meeting.
Mary Ellen Thompson, 32 Bruce Ave., to the Commission on Disabilities; Dale W. Schaetzke, 64 Barnard St., and Paul M. George, 20 Rice St., as regular members of the Zoning Board of Appeals; Maribeth A. Lynch, 21 Westwood Road, Lisa A. Cossette, 702 Main St., and Peter D. Collins, 94 North St., as associate members of the Zoning Board of Appeals; and Brenda Ljunggren, 22 Edgemere Boulevard, as a member of the Registrar of Voters.
In other business, Selectman Henry Fitzgerald notified the board that he had attended the Worcester County Selectmen’s meeting, where he heard a “good rundown” of the latest information technology news and practices.
Before ending the open meeting to convene an executive session to discuss pending litigation, the board also discussed signing the warrant for the spring Town Meeting. The meeting will deal with authorizing spending for the heating system of two town schools as well as forming a school building committee. The town will vote on authorizing such a committee and determining its membership size.
