Obit Carolyn M. PichierriGrafton/Shrewsbury – Carolyn M. (Silverberg) Pichierri, 71, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Her husband, Vincent Pichierri, passed away in 1998.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, John Silverberg and his wife Lola Adams, Michael Silverberg and his wife Cindy, and Paul Silverberg and his wife Candy; her stepson, Randy Pichierri, and stepdaughter, Sandy Arakelian; her grandchildren,Viki Paquette, Kristal Jurgilewicz, E.J., Jessica, Nick, Kaitlyn, Paul Jr. and Colin Silverberg, Sarah, Latif and Jamal Al-Molhem, and Adrianna Pichierri; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Paradise Jr., and her aunt and best friend, “Sis” Doris Davis.

Carol was born Jan. 9, 1945 in Worcester, daughter of the late Mary (Powers) and Roland Paradise. Her roots were in Shrewsbury and she lived for many years in Grafton.

For those who remember the one-of-a-kind experience shopping at Spag’s in Shrewsbury, you were likely to find Carolyn there. She worked there for 25 years and even met her husband Vinny there, too. Away from work, she lived her life treasuring her family and her beloved puppy, “Bella.” Recently, she was able to fulfill a life-long dream of leaving the country when she took a trip with her family to her granddaughter Sarah’s wedding in the Caribbean, which immediately became a special memory for her.

She will be greatly missed for her warmth and sharp sarcastic humor that became her signature.

Please consider a donation in her memory to the American Cancer Society online at www.Cancer.org or by mail to PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

All are invited to gather with Carolyn’s family and friends Thursday, March 31, from 4-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A prayer service for Carolyn will be held Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband, Vinny, at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
