Marlborough – St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Marlborough, recently crowned a king and queen of hearts – and a court jester. Twice postponed because of winter weather, the church held its annual Hearts Party in early March. Following some rousing rounds of the “Hearts” card game, points were tallied and the best male and female scores were announced as royal winners, along with the low scorer, awarded “court jester.”

On Sunday morning after church service, Frank Dutt of Hudson was crowned king, Tammy Kaye from Shrewsbury was crowned queen, and Pastor Cliff Gerber served as stand-in for the jester, who wasn’t present at the service.

St. Stephen Lutheran Church is a congregation of the ELCA, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  For more about St. Stephen Lutheran, visit www.saintstephenlutheran.com.
