Marlborough – Victor Deeb, 78, of Marlborough, died Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Damascus, Syria, the son of the late Mitry and Alexandra Deeb, and was raised and educated in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a graduate of Kent State, receiving a BS in Chemistry and another in Computer Science.

Victor was an accomplished chemist, with over 50 years of experience in formulating coatings, adhesives, and sealants for various applications. He worked for the Ball Brothers Corporation, Continental Can Co., and for 20 years at W.R. Grace, retiring in 1995 to pursue starting his own research firm, R&D Technologies.

Besides his wife, Ghada, he leaves two sons, Michael Deeb of Cambridge and Mitry Deeb of Atlanta; a daughter, Marcell Deeb-Lubsey and her husband Vince Lubsey of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, Christian, Alexandra, Mathew, and Nichole.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 31, from 5-8 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Funeral and burial will be private.
