Region – Commuters who use the Framingham-Worcester commuter rail may notice some midday and off-peak delays over the next few months as Keolis, the company that maintains the rails, sets out to replace 30,000 railroad ties.
The company plans to replace railroad ties between Newtonville and Southborough this fall.
Keolis officials say the work will “help move trains more efficiently and finally end the speed restrictions riders have dealt with for many years.”
