Westborough Public Library art exhibit features Highlands’ resident

Westborough – On St. Patrick’s Day, two busloads of seniors traveled to the Westborough Public Library (WPL) from their home at The Highlands, an independent living retirement community in Westborough. En masse, they attended an opening reception for their fellow resident Sheila Granger, whose paintings — mostly watercolors — are on display at the WPL’s meeting room through Friday, April 15.

Shrewsbury – On the third Friday of the month, a diverse group of people gather at the First Congregational Church in Shrewsbury to make some joyful noise. They pound; they bang; they hit drums creating rhythms and beautiful sounds. The place vibrates with hands beating against leather skins. Affordable Housing Corp. eyes downtown projects

Northborough—The Board of Selectmen March 28 voted to authorize giving $400,000 in previously reserved Community Preservation Act funds to the Northborough Affordable Housing Corp. to buy two Main Street properties that will in turn be donated to Habitat for Humanity to create four affordable condominiums.
