Obit Margaret CorazziniShrewsbury – Margaret M. (Gaulin) Gaudette Corazzini, 91, a longtime Shrewsbury resident, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough, surrounded by her devoted family.

Margaret was born in Marlborough, daughter of Oscar H. And Margaret M. (Kerr) Gaulin. She graduated from Worcester High School of Commerce in 1942 and later attended drafting classes at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. This led to a job during the war as a draftsman at Heald Machine Company in Worcester.

She married Camillo J. Corazzini in 1949. While living in Shrewsbury, Margaret worked in the Treasurer’s Office at the Town Hall (earning $27 per week), served as a Warden during town elections, and was a clerk and later a cashier at Spag’s Supply for 24 years, retiring in 1987.

Margaret was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Victor R. Quaranta American Legion Post for many years. She took great pleasure in preparing food and entertaining her family and friends.

Margaret enjoyed crocheting as she watched her favorite TV shows. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Hampton Beach was a yearly vacation spot until her children were well into their teens.

Margaret’s greatest joy in life were here children and grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren were an added blessing to her life. She was a kind, affectionate, patient, and very generous woman, often going without to help her family.

Her husband of 61 years, Camillo J. Corazzini, died in 2010. She leaves two daughters, Linda A. Parmakian (husband Joseph) and Diane M. LeBlanc (husband Ronald); six grandchildren, Michael J. Corazzini, James J. Parmakian, Joseph T. Parmakian, Sara N. Corazzini, Bryan J. Corazzini, and Mandie R. LeBlanc; three great-grandchildren, J. Ayden Corazzini, Cameron Parmakian, and Landon Corazzini; nieces and nephews, Sharon, Gail and Paul Corazzini, Debbie Kuras, Thomas Gaulin and Amy Meersman; and a family friend, Katheryn Tower, who Margaret fondly called “Daughter #3.” She was predeceased by her first husband of 3 months, George Gaudette, who died in 1944, a casualty of the Battle of the Bulge; a beloved son, Joseph H. Corazzini; and two brothers, Robert and Thomas Gaulin.

Margaret’s family would like to thank the Brigham staff at Beaumont who loved and cared for Margaret during her long illness. Many of them went above and beyond to support the family during Margaret’s last days.

A prayer service was held April 4 at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, with burial next to her husband at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
