Marlborough – St. Mary’s Credit Union has promoted Larissa C. Thurston to chief operating officer, chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and Sarah A. Day to assistant vice president, commercial loan officer.
Thurston of Hudson, NH, joined St. Mary’s Credit Union in 2014 as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Credit Union she served as vice president and controller of a commercial bank in southern New Hampshire. In her new role she also oversees the credit union’s operations, human resources, IT, and marketing functions.
Thurston’s prior banking experience has included operations responsibilities in the areas of community reinvestment and compliance; technology and loss management. She is currently a member of the Fiserv Eastern Region User Group.
Thurston holds a BS degree in accounting as well as an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. She is certified by the National ACH Association as an Accredited ACH professional. She is also a member of the Institute of Managerial Accountants.
Day, of Shrewsbury, joined St. Mary’s Credit Union in 2010 as marketing manager. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Credit Union, she had many years of financial services experience working for a Worcester bank. She joined the commercial lending team in 2013, where she specializes in commercial mortgages, vehicle and equipment lending and commercial lines of credit.
Day is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and she earned a master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College.
