Obit Bernard J. LupienMarlborough – Bernard J. Lupien, 75, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Boston and raised in Sudbury, he was the son of the late George A. and Mary (Wilson) Lupien and the husband of Linda (Chicoine) Lupien of Marlborough. A graduate of Marian High School, class of 1960, Mr. Lupien served in the U.S. Air Force until 1967.

He was employed for over 30 years at Bay State Abrasives in Westborough as a research engineer. Following several years of quiet retirement, he returned to work at General Electric.

He was a member of the Marlborough Fish & Game, the Fraternal Order of Eagles FOE 3565, and the Minuteman Dart League.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Stephan and his wife Katy Lupien; his daughter, Deborah Griffin and her husband Frank of Marlborough; his brothers, George and Marjorie Lupien, Thomas and Joyce Lupien, Gerard and Nancy Lupien, and Roy Lupien, all of Waldoboro, Maine, and Mark and Marie Lupien of Sudbury; his grandchildren, Brian, Nicholas, Jacob, Kyle, Zachary and Ariana; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also the father of the late Susan Lupien, who died in 2015.

A funeral Mass was celebrated April 11 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Marlborough. Burial will be held at a later date.
