Southborough – Oscar G. Aselbekian, 89, a lifelong resident of Southborough, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Anne (Kaderian) Aselbekian, who passed away in 2007.

Oscar attended the former Peter’s High School of Southborough and left before graduating to help his family with their dairy farm. He worked at the Woodland Dairy Farm until the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority took the land by eminent domain in the 1950s. Oscar then went to work for Needham Dairy as a milkman until he retired.

He enjoyed morning coffee with his buddies at Honey Dew, feeding his birds, gardening and caring for his yard. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Mark Aselbekian, and his sister, Elizabeth Hagopian, both of Southborough, and his grandchildren, Jill Aselbekian of Whitinsville and Gregory and Zachary Aselbekian of Cape Cod. He was predeceased by a son, Gregory Aselbekian, who died in 1999.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 15, from 9-10:30 a.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral home service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
