Shrewsbury – The Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival Committee is seeking nominations for the festival’s grand marshal.
The grand marshal is chosen based on the following criteria: has shown a record of volunteer community service; is an outstanding citizen; is well-known; directly associated with Shrewsbury; and bring pride and recognition to the town of Shrewsbury.
It is not necessary for the candidate to be a resident of Shrewsbury. However, if he or she is currently campaigning for a political office, he or she is not an appropriate nominee for grand marshal.
The deadline for submission is Friday, July 1. Download the grand marshal form on the website www.spiritofshrewsbury.org.
This year’s festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25.
