Obit Frances CurtisWestborough – Frances C. Curtis, 92, of Westborough, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Hospital in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Curtis.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Zalmira (Maiocco) DeLollis. She was educated in Worcester schools and was a graduate of North High School. She was also a 1945 graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

Fran worked as an RN at Memorial Hospital and then for Westborough State Hospital for 23 years, retiring in 1990.

She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church; a member of the Westborough Senior Center, where she taught ceramics; a member of the Westborough Community Chorus and the Southborough Senior Singers, and enjoyed playing the piano and accordion.

Fran is survived by five sons, James H. Curtis of Taunton, T. Anthony Curtis of Palmer, John Curtis of Westborough, Stephen Curtis of Westborough, and Michael Curtis of Ashland; two daughters, Nancy Longo and Patricia Curtis, both of Westborough; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Olindo, Nicholas, Emidio, and Victor DeLollis and Georgianna Laferriere.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 22, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Thursday, April 21, from 5-8 p.m.
