Obit Ellen M. BouvierGrafton – Ellen M. Bouvier, 79, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2016 following a long illness.

She leaves her daughters, Elizabeth Bouvier and Dianne Ellis and her husband Bryan; son, Jon Bouvier; grandson, Timothy Ellis; brother, Joseph Lotti and his wife MaryEllen; and several nieces and nephews.

Ellen was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Marlborough, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Felton) and Quinto Lotti. Her roots were in Marlborough and Southbridge, and she also lived in Grafton for 25 years.

Ellen worked primarily in healthcare at Primary Care Physicians at Grafton Family Health Center and with Dr. McCann in Worcester before joining Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine for an additional 13 years.

She was a member of the Grafton Board of Health and founder of the annual Grafton Town Clean Up Day. Ellen also was a faithful parishioner at St. Philip’s Church where she taught religious education.

Away from work Ellen could be found at the lanes candlepin bowling, at home tending to her garden or playing cards and she would visit the beaches of New England when she could with her friends and family.

All are welcome to gather with Ellen’s family and friends Friday, May 6, from 5-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Ellen Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Philip Church, 12 West St., Grafton. All attending the funeral Mass are politely requested to go directly to church. Burial will be private.
