Obit David A. AdamsShrewsbury – David A. Adams, 57, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at UMass Hospital.

David is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Ellen M. (Michalski) Adams; three sons, Jamis Adams and his partner Matt Zavala of New York, N.Y., Dana Adams and his girlfriend Sara Santizo of North Bergen, N.J., and Randy Adams and his wife Jessica of New York, N.Y.; his mother, Gladys “Sis” (DeRuvo) Adams of Worcester; a step-daughter, Marisa Tetreault of Columbia, S.C.; his brother, Steven E. Adams and his wife Patricia of Leominster; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Kathleen Michalski of Moodus, Conn.; a brother-in-law, Michael Michalski and his wife Melissa of Moodus, Conn.; his sister-in-law, Karen Perrott and her husband Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz..; four nephews, Shaun Adams, John Amato, Andrew Perrott and Nathan Michalski; and three nieces, Jill Amato, Katie Perrott and Allison Michalski.

David was born in Worcester, a son of the late Edward S. Adams. He graduated from Doherty High School and lived in Worcester until he and his wife moved to Shrewsbury three years ago. He was the owner of David Adams Co. for 37 years.

For all those who knew him, Dave’s biggest joys in life were his family and, of course, his love for New England Sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox.

Services for David were held May 9 from the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, with a Mass in Our Lady of Loreto Church of Worcester. Burial will be held privately.
