Grafton – J. Thomas “Tommy” Adams, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. His wife of 55 years, Eileen N. (Ryan) Adams, passed away Sept. 8, 2015.

He leaves his sons, Ray Adams and his wife Sue and Dan Adams and his wife Michelle; his grandchildren, Mike, Nick, Jessica, Katelyn and Eric; great-grandchildren, Landin, Jaxon and Devyn; and his sister-in-law, Joyce Everhart.

Tommy was born March 26, 1939 in Brunswick, Maine, son of the late Marie Ann (Thibodeau) and Joseph W. Adams. His roots were in Maine until work brought him to Massachusetts.

For more than 34 years, he worked at Washington Mills in North Grafton, where he built many friendships.

Tommy was often close to home where he would tend to his garden. He loved following New England sports teams and heading out to watch his grandchildren compete in sports, as well.

All are invited to gather with Tommy’s family and friends Saturday, May 14, from 12-1 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, followed by a prayer service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. He will then be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton.
