Marlborough – A maintenance, access and parking easement plan for the Atrium Place project at 21-29 S. Bolton St., on behalf of Bolton Granger Realty Trust, Trustee George Voyiatzis, was presented to the City Council at the May 23 meeting. The request was made by Brian R. Falk, an attorney with Mirick O’Connell, the firm representing Voyiatzis. The Department of Public Works (DPW) has reviewed and approved the plan, according to Falk’s communication to the council.
The proposal, created to address councilors’ concerns expressed during a recent Site Plan Committee meeting, was referred to the Urban Affairs Committee for consideration.
Voyiatzis, owner of Fish Restaurant and Wine Bar, is seeking a permit to convert his one-story building into a mixed-use facility, constructing four new floors above the restaurant, with 40 new apartments on the upper floors and businesses on the bottom floor. Currently located at the property are a Starbucks coffee shop, Dominos Pizza, Stoney Brook Market and Melon Frozen Yogurt. They are all expected to remain open during the construction period, according to Voyiatzis. He told councilors in a committee meeting earlier this year that his plans are to use modular construction in building the addition.
