Southborough – Bonnie (Lungwitz) Pedersen, 73, of Southborough, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 31, 2016 after being stricken ill at home. She was the beloved wife of G. Mark Pedersen for the past 54 years.

Bonnie was the daughter of the late Donald J. and Lois (Daily) Lungwitz, and grew up in Haiti. She attended schools in Haiti, Jamaica, and Switzerland prior to attending Pine Manor Jr. College in Chestnut Hill, where she met her husband, Mark, on a blind date.

Bonnie was a very talented painter and natural artist, using only nature to create her masterpieces.  Along the way, she has won several awards for her “Sailor’s Valentines.”

She was an avid sailor, boater and gardener and was a member of the Southborough Garden Club for many years. Speaking five languages, she also loved to travel, enjoying the people, food, cultures and beaches where she visited. But, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Chris Pedersen, his wife Megan and their children, Ben and Nathan of Sharon; her daughter, Heidi Schlossman and her husband Adam of Maryland; her brother, Joseph Lungwitz of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 3, from 4-7 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4, at 1:30 p.m., at the Pilgrim Church, Common Street, Southborough. Burial will be private.
