Obit Kathleen CarlmanHudson – Kathleen Anne Carlman, 49, of Hudson, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 18, 2016.

Kathleen loved her family above all else. She sacrificed immensely for her children. Her patience, strength, and charity of love will never be forgotten. The memories she created will forever serve as a treasure of hope, kindness, and light to those who possess them.

Kathleen was born May 9, 1967 in Worcester. When she was 19, she went to work as a waitress at Jake’s Coffee Shop in Marlborough. During her almost 20 years there, she made an extended family that she kept throughout her life. She also met her husband there, with whom she had three children, who were her pride and joy.

Many members of the Hudson community knew Kathy as a business owner. Soft as Silk, her skin care shop on Main Street, was her passion. By determination and tireless effort, she built a flourishing business from the ground-up. Her large heart and sympathetic ear made her a natural. She loved getting to know new people, and learned something new from everyone she met. When she wasn’t working, Kathy enjoyed tending to her garden, listening to music, and reading. She loved spending time with her family.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Todd; her three children, Alex, Isabella, and Anthony; her mother and father, Michael and Shirley Stanley; her brother, Michael Stanley and his fiancée Sandy; and her best friend, Erin Jacobson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 23, at 9 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial services will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends may attend calling hours Wednesday, June 22, from 4-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com).
