Westborough – The Westborough Community Band will begin their summer concert season Friday, July 1, with support of the Westborough Cultural Council. They will play at Westborough’s Fourth of July Block party. The band will play at 6 p.m. in front of the Forbes Municipal Building, 45 W. Main St.
Conductor Matthew Lefebvre and band members are practicing many new pieces of music for the community. The band practices Thursday evenings at Westborough High School, 90
W. Main St.
Other summer concerts will be held Sundays, July 17 and 31, at the Bay State Common bandstand, 1100 Union St., and Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Westborough High School auditorium. All concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. and are free. Bring a chair or blanket to the Common bandstand area to enjoy a great evening of music.
