Marlborough – Barbara P. Hildreth, 83, of Marlborough, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough.

Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Prouty) Parker. She was raised and educated in Southborough and was a 1950 graduate of Peter’s High School.

Barbara worked for many years as a secretary for Marlborough Savings Bank prior to her retirement.

She was active in community theater when she was younger, and had been a resident of Marlborough for many years.

Barbara is survived by three children, Beth Dacey and her husband Brian of Boston, Philip DiBuono and his wife Kerry of Marlborough, and Toni DiBuono-McGrath and her husband Michael of Bloomfield, N.J.; three grandchildren, Ann Marks and her husband David, Sara Dacey, and Kathleen McGrath; and one great-grandchild, Ingrid Marks. She was predeceased by two siblings, Jacqueline Bruno and Ralph Parker.

Services and burial in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston, will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, Marlborough.
