Marlborough – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has committed to investing nearly $88 million in projects in the city of Marlborough and surrounding areas. Major projects include $31.8 million for reconstruction of the I-90/I-495 interchange; $15.4 million for I-495 maintenance, signage, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for Marlborough, Hudson, and Berlin; and $14.6 million for I-290 maintenance.
Other monies will fund projects aimed at improving upgrades on Routes 85 and 20 and reconstructing Farm Road.
The funds are part of MassDOT’s $14.8 billion 5-Year Capital Investment Plan.
