Obit Greg P. SzretterWorcester – Greg P. Szretter, 43, of Worcester and formerly of Marlborough, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a severe illness.

He was born in Framingham, raised and educated in Marlborough, the son of the late Ronald J. Szretter and Paulette (Szretter) Licketto of Lugoff, S.C.

He worked as a HVAC technician throughout the MetroWest area for over 25 years.

Greg enjoyed fishing, camping and martial arts. He loved music, especially The Doors.

Besides his mother, he leaves his sons that he had with his former wife, Patti L. (Szretter) Tucci – Ryan, Logan and Logan’s fiancée Katrina, Christian and Devan Szretter all of Hudson; a brother, Gary E. Szretter of Alabama; and a sister, Debora L. Szretter of Merrimack, N.H.; his fiancée, Marie J. Hagerty of Worcester, with whom he lived; two grandchildren, Keagan Hagerty and Megan E. Lamica, both of Southbridge; a step-son, Jarred W. Hagerty of Southbridge; two nephews, Brendan and Ronald Szretter; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 6, from 5-7 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. A celebration of Greg’s life will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
