Obit Lillian F. TamulisMarlborough – Lillian F. (Schofield) Tamulis, 85, died Thursday morning, July 14, 2016 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Bron Tamulis, who died in 1993. They were married for 40 years.

She was born and raised in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Freeman and Agnes (Auger) Schofield and lived here all of her life.

She devoted her life to her family and raising her five children. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lillian was a longtime member of the former Saint Mary’s Church. She was also an avid bingo player. Known as “Mrs T,” she was a favorite local babysitter for many children.

Lillian is survived by her three sons, James Tamulis and his wife Nancy of Ashburn Va., Bron Tamulis of Queens Creek, Ariz., and Doug Tamulis of Marlborough; two daughters, Linda Martochio of Chandler, Aariz. and Maureen Zeidler and her husband Paul of Atkinson, N.H.; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Norman Schofield, Doris Reger, Donald Schofield, Ollie Bartlett, and Marguerite Schavone.

Her funeral will be held Friday, July 22, at 10 a.m., in St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery of Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 21, from 5-8 p.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
