Obit Mary BritaMarlborough – Mary J. (Lettieri) Brita, 98, of Marlborough, died Monday, July 18, 2016 at her home.

Born in Northborough, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Veno) Lettieri and the wife of the late Joseph Brita, who died in 1999.

She had been employed at the Marlborough Enterprise, from which she retired, as an accounts receivable clerk. She had also been employed by the former Mutual Shoe Company.

Mary, an Avon representative for many years, enjoyed traveling, reading, dining and dancing and spending time with her close family and many friends.

She is survived by her children, Richard J. Brita, Angela Brita and Donna Brita, all of Marlborough, and Patricia Brita Rossi and her husband Francis Rossi Jr. of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Josephine Dutchka.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 21, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 22, at 9 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.

The Brita family wishes to thank the members of the Marlborough Fire and Police Departments, as well as the EMTs and all medical personnel who provided their services in such a caring and professional manner.
