Northborough 250th Anniversary Family Fun Day Aug. 14

Northborough – The Northborough 250th Anniversary Committee has announced its plans for a Family Fun Day to be held Sunday, Aug. 14, from 1 – 4 p.m. at Ellsworth-McAfee Park on Route 135.

The event is free and will offer old-fashioned fun and games for the entire family. Some of the planned games include jump rope and hopscotch, a donut-eating contest, marble shooting, tug-of-war, three-legged races, leap frog, sack races, egg-on-a-spoon races, Tiddlywinks, and dominos.

The Sudbury Militia Encampment will hold drilling and musket-firing demonstrations and other informational sessions about colonial life, children’s games and the history of the American flag.
