Westborough – Westborough’s 300th Anniversary Committee is challenging residents of Westborough to collect 300 pairs of mittens in honor of the town’s 300th anniversary. These mittens will be given to those less fortunate and in need.

Beginning this September, there will be “Snowman Mitten Boxes” in many locations around town. It is hoped that the good and generous citizens of Westborough will answer this challenge and drop off a pair of mittens or gloves into these boxes. These items can be gently worn, new, or handmade – in sizes to fit children and adults. This project is being announced early so that the mittens and gloves may be distributed by the winter holidays.

The Snowman Mitten Boxes will be in schools and places of worship around town, as well as at the Westborough Public Library.

If you have any questions or wish to help out with this project, contact co-chairs Michele Conway ([email protected]) or Peggy Favro ([email protected]).
