Hudson – Florence C. (Bousquet) Sneddon, 88, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at The Reservoir Center in Marlborough.

Florence was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Oliver and Melina (Allard) Bousquet.

She was employed for many years by Hudson Lock Company and was member of the Hudson V.F.W. and Hudson Eagles. Florence was also very active as a member of the Hudson Senior Center and was a member of the former Christ the King Parish in Hudson and a member of St. Michael’s Parish of Hudson.

Florence had many hobbies and interests throughout her life, but most of all enjoyed socializing with family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing in her spare time. She will always be remembered for her unique personality and her patriotic and seasonal decorative cane.

She is survived by her three children, Jo-Ann Machado and her husband Barry of Leominster, John Sneddon of Fitchburg, and Marion Collins of Hudson. She was the mother of the late Danny Sneddon. She also leaves her seven loving grandchildren, five loving great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her 12 siblings.

A funeral service will be held Thursday Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
