Region – Over 150 senior citizens of Hopkinton, Holliston, Southborough and Westborough joined State Representative Carolyn Dykema (D-Holliston) for her annual Senior Picnic at the YMCA in Hopkinton Aug.  31.

Mass. Secretary of Elder Affairs Alice Bonner, U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark (D-5th District), and State Senator Jamie Eldridge (D-Acton) joined in the festivities with Dykema and spoke about current issues and state initiatives relevant to seniors.

The seniors enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, and cake at the Hopkinton YMCA outdoor activity center.

Dykema has hosted this picnic every year since taking office in 2009.

She represents the communities of Holliston, Hopkinton, Southborough and Precinct 2 of Westborough in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
