obit-ronald-f-kozlowskiHudson – Ronald “Ron” Francis Kozlowski, 76, of Hudson, beloved husband of Beverly A. (Jussaume), passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends, Friday, Oct. 7, 2016.

Ron was born May 21, 1940 in Dudley, to Peter and Sophie (Kokernak) Kozlowski. He graduated from Dudley High School in 1957, attended Rutgers University in 1959, and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University in 1967.

He began his career at the former Worcester Controls Corporation in West Boylston, and worked his way up through the company to become president in 1983. Upon retiring from Worcester Controls in 2000, Ron enjoyed spending time golfing and traveling with friends and family.

His wife Beverly was his life-long best friend, together they enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 54 years. In their later years, they especially loved traveling the world together and spending time with their beloved granddaughters. He was also an avid fan of football and baseball and cheered for the New York Giants and Yankees.

Ron is survived by his wife, Beverly; his daughter, Jocelyn Polk; her husband, Marc Polk; and two granddaughters, Emma and Grace, of Boonton, N.J. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason, in 2011, and following his death became an advocate and volunteered for AIDS Action of Boston.

Ron was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.

The Kozlowski family would like to thank his caregivers at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and his oncologist, Dr. David A. Barbie. He received exceptional care during his illness from so many dedicated care professionals.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the AIDS Action Committee, 75 Armory St., Boston MA 02119.
