Mary L. Rhodes, 58, of Southborough

obit-mary-l-rhodesSouthborough – Mary L. (Ferris) Rhodes, 58, of Southborough, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 31 years, David A. Rhodes; two sons, Christopher D.  Rhodes and Gregory M. Rhodes, both of Southborough; two brothers, Michael Ferris and Gerald Ferris, both of Oneonta, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.

She was born in Oneonta, N.Y., daughter of Michael and Hazel (Nicklaus) Ferris, and graduated from Oneonta High School and later from Hartwick University.

Mary worked as a manager in the Human Resources Department at EMC Corporation in Southborough, before retiring due to illness.

Mary enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, shopping, and, most importantly, spending time with her family.

Mary’s funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m., at Saint Matthew Church, 26 Highland St., Southborough. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Oct. 21, from 4-7 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
