Northborough – A relatively-new and free holiday event continued as families flocked Oct. 29 to the open-air shopping center Northborough Crossing for a Halloween Spooktacular. Mingling among them were the costumed Minions characters for children to meet.
Kids filled 90 minutes getting treats at most of the stores. Meanwhile in the parking lot, they played with hands-on experiments offered by Mad Science and got sculpted animal balloons created by Flippo. Deejay Chris Barry provided music for a Monster Mash Dance Party followed by a costume contest with Toys ‘R’ Us gift cards as prizes.
At dusk, everyone was treated to a movie screening of “Minions” from the “Despicable Me” series. The outdoor screening got rescheduled from July due to rain.
