obit-stanley-s-demboskiWestborough – Stanley S. Demboski, 81, of Westborough, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. His wife and best friend of 53 years, Priscilla E. (Webber) Demboski, died in 2010.

He leaves two daughters, P. Anne Brickley and her husband Scott of Milford and Lynne Pottle and her husband Donald of Shrewsbury; four step-children, Claudia Boucher of Worcester, Faith Reilly of Fayetteville, N.C., Ernest Burden, Jr. of Altamore Springs, Fla., and Howard “Ricky” Libbey of Andover, N.H.; two granddaughters, Alexandria A. VonMerta and her loving partner Christopher Camerano of Barre and Vanessa M. Lanzillotti and her loving partner Christopher Beaulieu of Beverly; and four great-grandchildren, Tabitha R. and Brooke L. Lanzillotti, Robert M. VonMerta, and Ryan F. Sylvia. He was predeceased by step-children Rodman and Dennis Libbey and Patricia Champie.

Stanley was born in Northbridge, son of Stephen and Josephine (Berkowitz) Demboski.

He worked in San Francisco, Calif. at West Coast Industries as a carpenter and woodworker. After moving to Shrewsbury in 1970, he worked for many years at Framingham Union Hospital as a maintenance technician.

Stanley was a member of St. Stephen’s Parish in Worcester and Franklin Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Grafton. He later became a member of the Aleppo Shriners, where he assisted low-income families with medical operations for their children and loved ones.

He enjoyed camping and fishing especially in the Lake Tahoe parks with his family. He was an avid golfer and played in many major tournaments throughout Massachusetts.

The family would like to thank the staff at Whitney Place and Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center for their wonderful care they provided to Stanley.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Stanley’s family Friday, Nov. 4, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A prayer service will follow at 10:30 a.m.
