Shrewsbury – Jane Ann Meegan, of Shrewsbury, passed away unexpectedly at home Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016.
She leaves her brother, Dr. James M. Meegan and his wife Rhonda of Silver Spring, Md.; her sister, Dr. Mary-Ellen Meegan of Shrewsbury; and two nieces and a nephew.
Jane was born in Worcester, the daughter of Dr. John and Muriel (Manning) Meegan. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Worcester State University, both in Worcester, and completed graduate work at Worcester State University and Boston University.
Jane was Coordinator of Elder Services, Council of Aging, Boylston. Previously, she was employed at Children’s Friend Society in Worcester and at Worcester, Westborough and Taunton state hospitals.
Jane was a Certifier for Pet Therapy International.
The private committal service will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Jane’s memorial funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m., in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester.
