Shrewsbury – The students of God’s Little Children Preschool and Kindergarten at the Gymnastics Learning Center in Shrewsbury recently held their annual St. Jude Children’s Hospital Trike-A-Thon to raise awareness and funds for children and families affected by childhood cancer. The students collected donations and then rode their trikes at school. The entire school raised $2,550.
Each year God’s Little Children Preschool and Kindergarten and the Gymnastics Learning Center give back to others in many ways. Through Tuesday, Nov. 22, the school is collecting children’s pajamas for children in need. Scholastic books will also donate $1 for each pair of pajamas donated. Through Monday, Dec. 12, the GLC will be collecting food for the Worcester Food Pantry and toys for Toys for Tots. In addition, through Monday, Nov. 21, the GLC will collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a program that sends supplies and toys to children around the world. For information on how to fill the shoeboxes, visit samaritanspurse.org/occ.
Anyone who would like to contribute to any of these efforts is welcome to stop by the center at 574 Lake St. in Shrewsbury.
