obit-patti-l-szretterMarlborough – Patti L. (Tucci) Szretter, 43, of Marlborough, died suddenly Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She leaves her fiancé, Erik F. Murphy with whom she lived.

She was born in Brookline, raised in Marlborough, and was the daughter of the late Rosario L. and Patricia R. (Duffy) Tucci. She was a 1992 graduate of Marlborough High School and attended the University of Phoenix.

Patti was a business coordinator for the Better Business Bureau for many years prior to her passing. She previously was a claims adjustor for Renaissance Insurance Group in Wellesley.

Patti was an avid Boston Sports fan as well as the biggest cheerleader for her boys as they played sports throughout her life. She was also active in the community, volunteering her time.

Besides her fiancé, Erik, she leaves four sons, Ryan C.T. Szretter of Marlborough, Lance Corporal Logan R. Szretter of Camp Lejeune, Christian J., and Devan P. Szretter both of Marlborough; her step-daughter, Karissa L. Murphy of Hudson; three brothers, Paul R. Tucci of Boylston, Rosario L. Tucci of New Jersey, and Patrick J. Tucci of Sterling; her sister, Tammy A. Dorian of Watertown; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m., in St. Matthias Church, Hemenway Street. Burial will be private. The Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home of Marlborough (www.CollinsFuneral.com) assisted with arrangements.
