He leaves his devoted wife of 22 years, Jodi C. (Kraus) Del Re; his loving children, Maggie Del Re and Ray Del Re, both of Northborough; his parents, AJ Del Re Jr. and his wife Jenny of Pelham Manor, N.Y., and Don and Angela Smith of Naples, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Nancy Kraus of Northborough; his siblings, Jonathan Del Re, Brian Del Re; Max Del Re, Alex Del Re, Jeff Smith, Stacy Smith and Darby Smith; many nieces, nephews; and his aunt.

Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., Al was raised and educated in Barrington Hills, Ill. He earned a degree in Business Administration in 1992 from USC in Los Angeles.

Al began his career at Coca-Cola as an account executive in California, Louisiana, and eventually Massachusetts. In 1998, he established Liquid Ice, Inc., which grew to be one of the largest restaurant equipment repair companies in the Northeast.

Al founded the local chapter for Hash House Harriers Running Club in Northborough. An accomplished runner, he completed 19 marathons in the U.S. and internationally.
