Westborough – Beverly A. Kody, 78, of Westborough, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at the Christopher House in Worcester. She was the wife of John W. Kody Jr. to whom she was married for 60 years.
Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Gladys (Wurm) Hewey and step-daughter of the late Dorothy Hewey. Beverly was educated in Westborough schools and was a 1956 graduate of Westborough High School.
She was employed for many years as the cafeteria manager at Armstrong School in Westborough. She was affiliated with the Congregational Church of Westborough, and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert Kody and his wife Corinne of Northborough, David Kody and his partner Gary Snyder of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Stephen Kody of Seattle, Wash.; a step-brother, Donald Hewey of Northborough; and three grandchildren, Jason, Alyssa, and Justin Kody. She was the sister of the late Marion Fallon and Eldon Hewey.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m., in the David A. Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
