Region – Hanna Lombardi, a former chef for several prestigious restaurants, will be joining her husband, Mike Lombardi, as chef de cuisine at the Vin Bin Cafes.
Hanna is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University and began her culinary career at the Westin Hotel in Boston. From there she worked at Icarus in Boston’s South End, Oleana in Cambridge, where she and Mike met, and for the past three years, as sous chef under the wing of Cassie Piuma, at the wildly successful Sarma.
Her background and training in eastern Mediterranean cuisine will be instrumental as the cooking couple will create new culinary dishes for the successful cafés.
Hanna’s addition to the staff will allow the Vin Bin Cafés to begin its expansion plans by creating a third cafe in Hopkinton and siting future café locations.
The Vin Bin is a gourmet market offering fine wine, hand crafted spirits, craft beer and artisan cheese at its three locations: 22 South St., Hopkinton; 91 Main St., Marlborough; and 154 Turnpike Rd., Southborough.
The cafes are located within the Marlborough and Southborough stores, and are open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
