Shrewsbury Central One Federal Credit Union donated $2,000 to the Shrewsbury Education Foundation recently as part of its continued support of education and the community of Shrewsbury.

“Central One has been committed to enhancing education programs for our youth,” said David L’Ecuyer, president and CEO of Central One. “We are delighted to help establish programs that invest in the future of our children and strengthen our community.”

The donation will provide grant funds to enrich student learning at every grade level, by supporting and encouraging educator-driven innovation. Past grant projects sponsored by Central One include “Kidfit,” a whole-body wellness program at Sherwood Middle School, and “Young Scientists at Play,” a program for preschool students to be introduced to STEM principles.

Shrewsbury Education Foundation is an all-volunteer organization that provides grants to educators and staff at Shrewsbury Public Schools. These grants provide educators with the resources to launch innovative, hands-on programming directly into the classroom.
