Committee receives approval from selectmen to apply for recreational trail grant

Westborough – At the Dec. 20 Board of Selectmen meeting, Don Burn, a Westborough resident and member of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), gave a presentation on a multi-use grant opportunity through the state that if received, would be used to help build a recreational trail from Otis Street and Meadow Road, past the warehouses and near the Westborough Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Women’s Club celebrates its 100th year

Westborough – More than 60 women celebrated the Westborough Women’s Club’s 100th year on Dec. 13, at the Methodist Church. A buffet lunch was served along with a celebratory cake to mark the occasion. Alyson Greer Espinosa, the director of choral music at Westborough High School (WHS), led a joyous performance by the WHS Chamber Singers, a select choral ensemble.
