Hudson – A warm holiday gesture once again took place on a chilly weekend Dec. 10 and 11 at Walmart in Hudson. Representatives of the Hudson Police Department received help collecting donations to its annual Toys for Tots campaign. They were joined by cadets of the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough.
New, unwrapped and unopened toys can be brought any time to the police station at 62 Packard St. The age range for the toys is infant to 13. Toys brought after Christmas will be stored for next year.
According to its website, “The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”
