Westborough – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has been in the process of demolishing all existing toll plazas as part of the implementation of All Electronic Tolling (AET) along the Massachusetts Turnpike. MassDOT will be holding four public meetings to provide information about the next stage of roadway reconstruction, and what to expect as the project continues.
One of those meetings will be held at the Westborough Town Hall, 34 West Main St., Westborough, on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 starting at 6:30 p.m. (The snow date is Wednesday, Jan. 25.) This meeting will focus on Sturbridge/ I-84, Worcester/Auburn/I-290 exits. Worcester/Rt.146, Worcester/Millbury, Westborough/I-495, Framingham, and Natick/Rt. 30.
MassDOT will discuss: project progress, timeline for completion, what to expect as the project moves into the spring and summer months and other project-related issues. These meetings will ensure that users of the Massachusetts Turnpike and neighboring communities are fully informed about the construction process to minimize any public inconvenience.
