Marlborough – Rose Nevins, 95, formerly of Marlborough, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late James and Sara (Rogers) Nevins.

A graduate of St. Anne’s Academy in Marlborough, Rose had been employed as an executive secretary at the former Jordan Marsh Company in Framingham, as well as Boston. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Marlborough, and had traveled extensively throughout the world.

She was a devoted Red Sox fan and celebrated her favorite holiday, Fourth of July, with patriotic pride.

Predeceased by her siblings, Rose is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

An hour of visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 31, from 9:30–10:30 a.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.
